  • Multi-Language Flood Signs for Bolton a National Disgrace!

    What an absolute outrage. Why should us tax payers pay for signs to be put up in Urdu, Gujurati and Somali. If you can't speak English then tough, go and learn it. The French don't put up with this nonsense, all their signs are in French and they are just as much of a multi-cultural society as we are. If anybody on Bolton Council is reading this, please answer me one question,... how much over the past five years have you spent on translation and translating signs, documents and such like?

  • Ramsbottom to get fourth supermarket

    How many supermarkets can you get in one small town? Do we really need another one? I work in Ramsbottom and the traffic is a nightmare already. With more lorries and extra cars for shoppers it will become almost impossible to move around. I wish we had the French laws of not allowing a hypermarket within a certain number of miles of a village/ town centre to protect the local businesses and shops.

  • Did I read this right? Algae and the £1M quid pavement

    The council are considering spending £13K on anti-slip covering for pavements that cost a total of £1M. Yes. that's right, a Million Quid!!!!!!!!! Firstly, what the hell are they playing at ordering pavements that are now deemed unsafe, and secondly, why are they not making the manufacturers/ suppliers pay for the additional cost. An absolute disgrace!!!!!!!!
